Canvas of the Clickers

The infected, now a canvas for the cordyceps, began to display an array of vibrant colors and patterns. The fungus, in its quest for survival, had turned the human body into a living, breathing work of art. The skin of the infected was no longer just a barrier against the outside world, but a testament to the fungus’s ability to adapt and evolve. It was a sight both terrifying and mesmerizing, a grotesque beauty that was impossible to ignore. The infected were no longer just victims, but a testament to the power of evolution and adaptation.

As the cordyceps continued to evolve, they/it began to display a level of intelligence previously unseen in fungi. It was as if the fungus had tapped into the human brain, using its host’s intelligence to further its own survival. The infected began to display behaviors that were eerily human-like, such as using tools and communicating with each other. It was a chilling reminder of what they once were, and a stark contrast to the beautiful, monstrous forms they now inhabited.

The infected, still recognizable as humans, bodies twisted and reformed by the fungus. The infected were no longer just victims, but a testament to the power of nature and its ability to adapt and evolve.

Still, I wouldn’t want to be one.
